All, just wanted to post this past week’s NFL power rankings for potential clients and transparency. 3 games with the biggest point differential were Detroit/Minnesota, Denver/Houston, and Pittsburgh/Arizona. Line for Detroit/Minnesota was close to even and lost. However, Denver/Houston line was even and Denver won outright as 9 points underdog. Same with Pittsburgh/Arizona – our line for Steelers was -11 and sportsbook line was -2 and Steelers won and covered. Week 10 NFL Power Rankings Review
Our power rankings include a combination of rushing yards, time of possession, and turnover margin. Also, we only use stats from the last 5 games to increase accuracy and predictability. To calculate power rankings, we divide small number by the larger number minus 1 = spread. Higher ranked team is the favorite. For example power ranking for Miami is 298; Indy, 306. So, 298/306= .97 -1 = 3. Our line is Indy -3. NFL power rankings week 9 review
Hope everyone had a profitable weekend! As usual, we are are going to start posting NFL power rankings every Monday morning for potential clients to review or anyone that would like to see it. The highlighted team is the favorite and the minus line shows how much they are favored by. When handicapping NFL, we do not necessarily play the higher ranked power team but use the rankings as a way to create our own line and compare to the sportsbook. In essence, we are looking for a point differential between our line and the sportsbook line. Also, situational handicapping needs to follow in order to determine if game is a play or no play. NFL Power Rankings Week 8
To all, just thought I would share my NFL power rankings for week 8 – this past Sunday. To calculate the line for a game, take the team with the lower power ranking number and divide it by the team with the higher power ranking. Next, subtract 1 and move decimal over two and that is the line. The higher ranking team will be the favorite. For example. This week, Chargers were 303 and the Bears were 293. 293/303= .96 -1 = .04 = Chargers -4. My stat model with the biggest margins were the Chargers, San Fran, Oakland, and Green Bay. All of those teams covered today. For only $29.95 a month you get access to these power rankings as well as all power rankings for all sports as well as access to coaching.
